Our clients come from Volusia County including New Smyrna Beach, Port Orange, Daytona, Ormond, Deland, Deltona, Edgewater, Samsula and Oakhill.

We have over 150 years of combined experience to meet your needs. We strive to provide you with the best approaches counseling has to offer. We work with all aspects of counseling and therapy, including the most difficult cases.

In our office we have two Psychiatrists, three Clinical Psychologists, a Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Social Worker and two Mental Health Therapists. One of our providers is a Registered Play Therapist, and another of our providers is a Clinical Supervisor, meaning that they supervise and train other therapist.

The Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach is pleased to announce that Bob Barringer, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, has joined our team of experts.

He will begin seeing patients as of April 15, 2013.

Bob comes to us with over 30 years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families in Volusia County. He specializes in behavioral issues and behavioral assessments, addictions, self- injurious behaviors like cutting, anxiety and in helping victims of abuse and neglect. He is sought after to help families with separation or divorce complications.

As a dynamic speaker and life coach, Bob is often asked to give trainings to corporations, schools and community groups on parenting, communication, self-esteem and team building.

At his core Bob believes in a holistic approach to patient care and in a recent interview said "I still don't understand in our day and age why people don't grasp how the mind and body work synergistically together, people attempt to fix one without even attempting to alter the other. Everything, our thoughts, our diet, exercise, the way we cope with stress, it all affects the way we feel and think."

Scheduling Appointments.

The best way to schedule an appointment is to call. We will take a few minutes to gather some basic information, and schedule your appointment. We can usually get you in to see one of our providers with in the week; of course this may vary depending on your availability.

Our Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6 pm.
